following notification is being circulated in accordance with Article
10.6. G/TBT/Notif. 96.324. 1. Member to Agreement notifying:

Provisions for Measuring Equipment: Draft Provisions for Measuring
Equipment to Establish Brake Effect (16 pages, in English). 6.
Description of content: The draft regulates the technical requirements
to be met by braking deceleration meters and roller brake test
benches. 7. Objective and rationale: At present, the equipment which
establishes brake effect is subject to requirements which are based on
a predominantly mechanical effect of this measuring equipment (without
advanced electronics and software). Since advanced electronics have
been integrated in the equipment in question, it has become necessary
to also assess the electronics in respect of the requirements for the
purpose of a clear evaluation. The requirements in terms of accuracy
have also been tightened up. 8. Relevant documents: Regulation on
Measuring Equipment - Vehicle Regulation, and draft amendment of the
Regulation on Measuring Equipment for Measuring Opacity (Chapters I and
II, and General and Recognition Certification). 9. Proposed date of
