Y -- WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT ON THE HUMBOLDT-TOIYABE NATIONAL FOREST SOL IFB R4-17-97-01 DUE 021496. POC Contracting Officer, Janice R. The projects consists of connecting six (6) previously drilled well sites to existing distribution lines at six campgrounds on the Bridgeport Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. System development will include installation of submersible pumps, storage tanks, power supply and utility buildings. The six campgrounds involved are (1) Trumbull Lake C.G. - construction includes two (2) 10,000 gallon steel storage tanks, 800 l.f. of 4-inch HDPE waterline buried 4 feet from the well to the storage tank, approx. 500 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE from well to existing distribution line buried 2 feet deep, submersible pump, utility building, automatic generator and propane tank; (2) Buckeye C.G. - construction includes one (1) 10,000 gallon steel storage tank, 600 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE waterline from well to tank to existing distribution line, automatic generator, utility building, submersible pump and propane tank; (3) Shingle Mill C.G. - construction includes one (1) 7,000 steel storage tank, 400 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE waterline from well to tank, submersible pump, solar panels, utility building with controls, backup batteries and portable generator. A new 1300 l.f. trunkline will be installed through the campground; (4) Sonora Bridge C.G. - construction includes pressurized distribution tank, submersible pump, pumphouse with controls, commercial power connection, approx. 200 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE waterline from well to existing distribution line; (5) Chris Flat C.G. - construction includes one (1) 7,000 gallon steel storage tank, 500 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE waterline from well to tank to existing distribution line, submersible pump, solar panels with battery storage, backup generator and utility building, (6) Leavitt Meadows C.G. - construction includes one (1) 3,000 gallon steel storage tank, 700 l.f. of 2-inch HDPE waterline from well to tank to existing distribution line, submersible pump, solar panels with battery storage, backup generator in utility building. Interested bidders are encouraged to view the sites during a Forest pre-showing on 10/8/96 at 10:00 a.m. Meet at the Hwy. 395-Hwy. 100, Sonora junction. This is to give bidders a look at the sites prior to seasonal closures. The solicitation will be opened in February when sites will be inaccessible. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. (260)
