Service anticipates contracting for the construction activities
involved with the Blue Bend Suspension Foot Bridge Replacement on the
Marlinton/White Sulphur Ranger District, approximately 4 miles West of
Alvon, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Project involves construction
and replacement of the deck, stringers, hanger rods, bridge seats, wind
cable system, excluding anchors, and chain link railing system of a
120-foot span pedestrian suspension bridge across Anthony Creek.
Towers, main cable and approaches remain and are to be used in the
construction. The contract completion time is 120 calendar days. Total
estimated project cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. All
