SCOPE: The scope of this Statement of Objectives is for the contractor to provide maintenance and repair/replacement services to the Nondestructive Inspection and Testing Section of the San Antonio Air Logistics Center (SA- ALC/TIELN) for the Radiographic Film Digitizing System (RFDS). PURPOSE: The purpose of this statement of objectives is to ensure the continuous operation of the RFDS to directly support nondestructive radiographic inspection of mission-critical workloads for the F100, T56 and T39 engines, and C-5A/B, T-38/F5, T-37/A-37, F-15 and F-16 aircraft. DURATION: The term of this contract shall be for one (1) year and commences on the date of contract award.REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, parts, labor and travel necessary to maintain and repair the RFDS. EQUIPMENT: The contractor shall maintain and repair/replace the following equipment: a. Film Scanner, b. File Server, c. Uninterrupted Power Supplies, d. Computer Assemblies - Components and Accessories, e. Computer Monitors - Subcomponents and Accessories, f. Computer Printers - Subcomponents and Accessories, g. Cables, Control Units, Switches, etc., h. Other equipmnet provided by the contractor with the RFDS. SOFTWARE: Software maintenance and repair shall consist of periodic upgrades for all resident software of the RFDS and modification/debug of software as latent defects or problems occur. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE: The contractor shall provide for four (4) on-site preventive maintenance inspections of the RFDS. One inspection shall be performed at the biginning of each quarter for the one year term of this contract. Preventive maintenance inspections shall consist of software diagnostics, scanner calibration, checkout of all hardware components, connectivity confirmation, and other inspections/calibrations necessary to maximize the operation the RFDS. Preventive maintenance inspectons shall be coordinated with the contracting officer or the SA-ALC/TIELN Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE: The contractor shall respond within 24 hours to any request for emergency service after being contacted by the Contracting Officer or the Contracting Officers's Technical Representative (COTR). Responses by the contractor shall be either in person or via telecon. Once appraised of the problem, the contractor shall correct the problem and render the RFDS operational within five (5) working days. REPORT: At the concusion of an on-site service call for either preventive maintenance or emergency service the contractor's representative shall complete a Service Report. This Service Report shall include details on the nature of the problem, corrective action, materials required for the repair or maintenance, time required for problem correction or maintenance, and the names of the responsible contractor's representative and COTR. WARRANTY: All materials, parts, repairs and labor shall be warranted for 90 calendar days from date of maintenance or repair. This warranty shall be in effect in the event this maintenance contract has terminated. ESCORTS: The contractor's representative shall give at a minimum a one (1) working day notice of an impending visit for preventive maintenance or mergency repair services. The approximate response date will be 28 Sep 1996. The anticipated award date will be 30 Sep 1996. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Nonpersoanl Services: For the Radiographic Film Digitizing System (RFDS). The duration will be for one (1) year from 01 Oct 96 - 30 Sep 97. c The approximate issue/response date will be 16 Sep 96. The anticipated award date will be 01 Oct 96. Oral procedure will be used for this solicitation. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered.
