Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3), Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) Acquisition. The LRAS3 will provide scouts with a long range reconnaissance and surveillance sensor system to operate in both mounted and manportable configurations. The LRAS3 will provide real-time acquisition, target detection, recognition, and location information to the cavalry scout while permitting 24-hr Target Acquisition capabilities. It provides long range target detection and far range of the enemy Direct fire weapons. The LRAS3 will provide imagery for the scout to quickly detect, recognize, and report targets of military interest. This advertisement is issued to inform potential offerors that the solicitation for the EMD phase of the LRAS3 program is in its initial stages of development and that a CECOM Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) file has been established under the PEO IEW Solicitation section (#3) as a draft solicitation file. All documents pertaining to this acquisition will be uploaded on the EBB as they become available. Some of the documents will be uploaded in their draft form to provide potential offerors early information, however, offerors should be aware that the draft documents are subject to change and should not be used as a basis for a final proposal.
