COLLABORATIVE INITIATIVES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1996 JOHNS HOPKINS
UNIVERSITY/APPLIED PHYSICS LABORATORY KOSSIAKOFF CENTER The Intelink's
Collaborative Computing Tools Working Group (CCTWG), the National
Imagery and Mapping Agency/Office of Research, Development, Test, and
Evaluation (Formerly the National Exploitation Lab), the DIA JIVA
Integration Management Office, and the National Security Agency are
sponsoring a Fall 1996 Collaboration Conference Series. The first
Conference of this three-part Conference series, Intelligence Community
Collaborative Initiatives, will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 1996
at Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics Laboratory Kossiakoff
Center. This conference will focus on collaborative initiatives and
their tools and technologies in use. Initiative representatives will
present mission requirements and constraints, tools and technology
solutions and how well the solutions helped accomplish the
requirements. Where applicable, real world feedback (both positive &
negative), lessons learned and other valuable data will be provided to
educate and prepare the community for the next generation of
collaborative initiatives. Multi-vendor COTS solutions within
operations to laboratory pilots and research under way by the R&D
community will be addressed. In addition to the conference portion of
the event, a Technology Exposition will take place with products and
services relating to Collaboration and associated technologies. Some
technologies of interest are: integrated collaboration tools, audio
teleconferencing, shared applications, internet publishing, document
delivery, video teleconferencing, group authoring, internet security,
interoperability, connectivity, World Wide Web products, software
collaborative products, intranet, virtual rooms, electronic meeting
software, and much, much more. All Intelligence and DoD Commands,
Analysts, Technologist, IT Mangers, Engineers Managers of entities
preparing to adopt collaborative initiatives into their environment,
computer professionals, various agency educators and instructors,
functional and systems program managers, mission support personnel,
industry leaders with collaborative initiatives, and anyone interested
in learning more about collaborative computing technology is
