A -- PREDATOR MAE UAV KU-BAND AND SAR RETROFIT SOL N00019-95-G-0197 POC Contact, Amy Timmermann, Phone (703)604-0903 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0197 with General Atomics - Aeronautical Systems Inc. (GA-ASI) to install communications and reconnaissance equipment into the Predator Medium Altitude Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (MAE UAV). GA-ASI is the sole designer and developer of the Predator MAE UAV, and as such is the only source with the technical expertise and data required to meet the Government's needs in the required time frame. The statutory authority for this procurement is Title 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source. See note No. 22 - NAVAIR Synopsis No. 40081-96. (0264)
