This is an amendment to a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items, solicitation #578-46-96, to purchase handicapped
driver simulator for Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Affairs Hospital (VAH),
that originally appeared in the September 9, 1996 edition of the
Commerce Business Daily. This amendment is issued to: 1. Answer
questions from prospective offerors as follows; a.) Question - Which
projection medium is required? Answer - Hines VAH prefers Laser Disc
projection medium but will consider and evaluate any type projection
medium offered. b.) Question - How many assessment programs are
required? Answer - A minimum of two assessment programs are required.
c.) Question - What elements of the projection system (player,
projector, screen) are required? Answer - Laser disc player/projector
or medium equivalent, screen, speaker and appropriate lens. d.)
Question - Is a printer required? Answer - Yes. 2. To extend the date
for receipt of offers to October 8, 1996 by close of business (4:00
p.m. Central Standard Time) at the location indicated in the original
advertisement. All other terms and conditions of the original
