Pierce, Contract Specialist, 301/227-5130; Fax 301/227-3504 ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES: Indefinite Quantity Mechanical/Electrical oriented Design Services are required for the preparation of design and construction documents (i.e. site investigations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, studies, design criteria, post construction award services) for the Defense Mapping Agency, Bethesda, Maryland. The Contract shall comprise the full range of multi-disciplinary services for building design with the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines being the lead designers. The A/E selection criteria shall be as follows: (a) Specialized experience of the firm in Mechanical/Electrical oriented studies and design; (b) Professional capability of the firm to accomplish the contemplated work within the required time limits; (c) Professional qualifications of the staff to be assigned to projects under this contract; (d) Past experience, if any, of the firm with respect to top performance on Department of Defense (DoD) contracts; (e) Past experience, if any, with respect to top performance on other Federal government contracts; (f) Volume of work previously awarded to the firm by DOD; (g) Capability to accomplish multiple Delivery Orders concurrently within the required time; (h) Capability to survey, identify, and propose remediation methods for asbestos, lead paint, PCB's and other minor environmentally sensitive products as part of the required project tasks; (i) Computer capabilities including the use of PC based AutoCad software for DOS; and (j) Location of the firm within the general proximity to Washington DC Metropolitan area DMA facilities. A/E personnel shall be U.S. citizens due to security requirements at DMA. A/E firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to mail a completed SF 254 and SF 255 to the office shown above. The contract shall comprise an initial one year period with options for two additional years at the discretion of the Government. The Contract shall not exceed $275,000 in any one year and no individual delivery order shall exceed $125,000.
