The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division, Procurement Services Staff, intends to issue a solicitation which will provide Justice Protective Service Officers (JPSO), responsible for the physical security of the DOJ Main Justice Building located at Tenth Street and Constitution Ave, NW., Washington, DC., and other DOJ facilities where DOJ employees are located. The Department requires highly qualified and skilled security officers to work within the Main Justice Building and other departmental buildings to provide a deterent against unauthorized, illegal and potentially life threatening activities directed towards DOJ facilities, employees, and information. As a minimum, all guards shall be graduates of a certified federal, state, county or local law enforcement training program, military police training program, or an equivalent thereto which presented the individuals with the appropriate certificate or diploma stating that they were eligible for employment as law enforcement officers. The anticipated contract will be for a base year of 12 months, and will include 4 options which could extend the performance of the contract for a total of 60 months.
