The White Mountain National Forest is considering operation of most of the Forest's developed recreation facilities by concessionaires, beginning with the 1997 season. Under a Special Use Permit, concessionaires would be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of government owned recreation facilities. No procurement contract will be issued. A solicitation package is expected to be available late October or November of 1996.
