Powell, Contracting Officer, (703) 875-6030 The U.S. Department of State issued a sources sought synopsis on March 6, 1996 for Amabassadorial Conference support in the Washington, DC area. RFP S-OPRAQ-96-R-0552 was released September 25, 1996 for subject services. The contractor will work with the Bureau of Intelligence and Research to contract approximately twenty-five (25) conferences annually for newly appointed U.S. Ambassadors, and/or conferences on high priority foriegn affairs issues. The conferences are to be held in the Washington, DC area, and convenient to the U.S. Department of State. Facilities shall be appropriate for Ambassadors and other senior ranked officials. The contractor must have sufficient personnel with substantive foreign affairs background and an established record in conducting conferences. More than one award may be made for this solicitation.
