DESCRIPTION OF WORK - The work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment required to complete the construction and expansion of the existing airfield taxiway and apron to provide for 23,555 square meters of concrete parking apron and associated lighting, drainage and markings. An onsite existing water well will be modified to allow for aircraft traffic. Other major work includes drilling a new water well, relocating existing well equipment, constructing a masonary chlorination building, jacking and installing connecting water piping as indicated on the drawings and specifications and incidental related work complete and ready for use.--The estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 150 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources.--This project is unrestricted.--The Standard Industrial Code is 1629 and the annual size standard is $17 million.--It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs.
