Montgomery, Regional Contract Specialist, 606-253-8880. The Federal
Bureau of Prisons intends to award a service contract for Non-Personal
Services for a Licensed Pratical Nurse. Duties are to be performed in
the Health Services Unit, at the Federal Correctional Institution,
Petersburg, Virginia. The services include performing such duties as
EKG's, filing of results in proper order within the medical record,
autoclaving instrumnents, and assisting in minor medical/surgical
procedures, taking vital signs, performing basic audiometry, basic
vision testing including color blindness, dressing wounds, starting
IV's, drawing blood, and assisting the health care providers as
required. The contractor must be a graduate of an accredited licensed
practical nurse program and shall furnish a copy of all licenses,
certifications, and/or registrations. The contractor will provide
credential verification from an approved agency. The contractor must
have a degree from an acredited college or university in the field of
Licensed Practical Nursing. The potential candidate must submit a
Curiculm vitae as part of the bid package. This contract will include
a base year not to exceed 12 months from date of award, with four (4),
one (1) year option periods for renewal. Estimated number of sessions
for the base year = 260, (Five (5) sessions per week, one (1) session
equals six (6) hours in length.) Option Year #1 estimated sessions =
260, Option Year #2 estimated sessions = 260, Option Year #3 estimated
sessions = 260, Option Year #4 estimated sessions = 260. Solicitation
packages will be mailed approximately October 15, 1996, with an
approximate due date of Novemebr 15, 1996. It is anticipated this
solicitation will result from a Firm Fixed Price, Requiremetns, type
contract. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business
concerns. All responsible sources may submit an offer which may be
