correct original synopsis published May 21, 1996. Solicitation closing
date is extended to October 31, 1996. The followingsin is added to the
solicitation, SIN 239-9-AUTOMATIC cleaning machines and/or small parts
washers with recirculating solution systems. Systems are designed to
reduce need for disposal of hazardous waste. All contracts awarded
under this multiple award schedule solicitation will include an option
to extend the term of the contract along with other related clauses
which allow for extension of the contract term. The option provisions
allow for an option to be exercisedat the END of the initial basic
schedule period which will extend the contract performance period for
an additional 5-YEAR period with annual open seasons as applicable.
Identical product lines will be considered only on the basic period, or
on the open Season solicitation issued before exercise of the option
period. When the option to extend the term of the contract is exercised
all extended contracts will become indefinite DELIVERY--INDEFINITE
quantity contracts with 100 dollar quaranteed minimum for the option
period. Various clauses including clause I-FSS-599, electronic commerce
- federal acquisition network (facnet), which implements GSA advantage
(general services administrations on-line shopping program) are
included. Also included is CLAUSEI-FSS-125, requirments exceeding
maximum order, and related clauses which implement the new maximum
order provisions. These new provisions allow customeragencies to seek
price decreases based on requirments which exceed the maximum order
established on any resultant contracts. To assist the customer agencies
to determine when they should seek a price decrease, a level called a
maximum order will be established on each contract. When an agency
order exceeds this amount, it is recommended that the agency contact
the vendor for a reduced price. The vendors will not be obligated to
accept these orders in accordance with FAR 52-216-19. All contracts to
be awarded include industrial funding provisions. Federal supply
schedule 49, II will be revised to delete special item numbers (SINS)
239-10 (radiator cleaning systems), 239-17D (paint mixing equipment)
and 239-18 (accessories). Products previously awarded under SIN 239-18
(accesories) will be allowed under appropriate SIN. Contract period
willbe 04/01/97, or date of award, through 03/31/02. solicitation will
be reopened four times in approximately yearly intervals to consider
new offers. See Note 12 (trade agreements). All responsible sources may
