Global Broadcast Service Industry Day 2 PURPOSE: The MILSATCOM Joint Program Office announces the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) Industry Day 2. The meeting, scheduled for 29 October 1996, will be held at the Aerospace Corporation, El Segundo, CA. The primary purpose of the meeting is to give the Global Broadcast Service Joint Program Office an opportunity to present to industry its Phase II acquisition strategy and system requirements. Specific topics to be presented include: a revised program office organization, number of contracts to be let and by whom, RFP and contract schedules, a system requirements document (SRD), an interface description document (IDD), and the Navy GBS transponder specification. Copies of documents presented will be available on IBM-formatted floppy disk. Additional information about GBS will be available on the GBS World Wide Web homepage (www.laafb.af.mil/SMC/MC/gbs). ADMINISTRATION: The GBS Industry Day 2 will be held at the Aerospace Corporation, 2350 E. El Segundo Blvd., El Segundo, CA, Building A-8, Tuesday, 29 October, 1996, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Attendees should arrive 30 minutes early to facilitate badging. Classification for the meeting will be SECRET. Seating will be limited to 3 persons per company.
