The buildings will be one-story structures of CMU block. The Laundry Facility will house an area for washers and dryers, chemical storage, folding area, and support areas. The Dining Hall will house a central kitchen prep area, dining area, refrigerated storage, dry storage, freezer space, staff area, and support areas. The Processing Facility will house property storage, male and female holding cells, administration, and support areas. The Command Center will house an armory, control room, toilet, and administration area. The Infirmary will house administrative space, exam rooms, vault, isolation area and other support areas. The project will include the site utilities to each of the buildings. This acquisition is restricted to elligible 8(a) contractors within the El Paso, Lubbock, and Albuquerque Small Business Administration Districts. The SBA requirement number is 7700-96-605941. Subcontracting opportunities may be available thru the Prime 8(a) contractor. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about October 15, 1996 with bid opening on or about November 15, 1996. The cost of the half size plans and specification is $50.00 per set.
