16 -- P-3C COMMUNICATIONS IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP) PHASE IIIB POC Contact, Ann Phan, Phone (703)604-2000 The Naval Air Systems Command intends to place an order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-95-G-0208 with Lockheed Aeronautical Systems Company (LASC) for Phase IIIB of the P-3C Communications Improvement Program (CIP). Phase IIIB includes the final phase of the integration of the DAMA SATCOM communications system into the P-3C aircraft, the production of the first 21 installation kits, and the update of technical and software publications. As the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the P-3C aircraft and the developer of the previous phases of this program, LASC is the only source that possesses the necessary technical expertise, engineering drawings and data to perform the total weapons systems integration effort required.
