R -- TECHNICAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF E-2C AIRBORNE EARLY WARNING AIRCRAFT SOL N00421-96-R-1079 DUE 093096 POC Veronica Singmore,Code 262.VS, Contract Specialist, (301) 342-3190 X25. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for technical and engineering services in support of the E-2C Airborne Early Warning (AEW) Aircraft. These services include technical, engineering, analytical and administrative support services during all phases of the E-2C/AEW life cycle, as well as current improvement programs and the next generation AEW aircraft. The contractor shall be responsible for engineering, logistics, and related program planning and control recommendations during initiation, development, production and deployment phases of the weapon system acquisition process. The period of performance will include a base year four one year option periods. It is estimated that the contractor may perform on-site (Government Site) 10% and off-site (Contractor Facility) 90%. This requirement will also include optional tasking to acquire contractor support for technical and engineering services for design, development, production, test, configuration management, maintenance, and delivery of developmental and fielded E-2C Mission Computer tactical programs. The total estimated level of effort inclusive of all years and all option tasking is 721,540 manhours. All potential offerors are advise that prior to release of the solicitation the Government intends to issue a draft of the Statement of Work, Personnel Qualifications and Solicitation Sections L & M. Potential offers will be asked to provide comments, questions, and recommendations. All interested concerns must have or be capable of obtaining a Department of Defense Secret Facility Clearance prior to award of this contract.
