The contractor shall manage and operate vehicle operations, vehicle control, driver testing/licensing, petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) facilities, and automatic car wash, wrecker service and vehicle inspection of commercial taxi cabs. The majority of services shall be performed at Fort Polk, LA, however some services will be performed at various sites in and around the Fort Polk area. The following geographical information is provided: Fort Polk consists of 310.2 square miles and has 198,536 acres consisting of South Fort Polk, North Fort Polk, Peason Ridge Maneuver Area, Fullerton Triangle, Leesville Artillery Range, Small Arms Range, and the Fort Polk Maneuver Area. The contract requires Transportation Motor Pool (TMP) services 24 hours a day for 365 days per year. A preproposal conference shall be held on site in Nov 96.
