Description of Work: Remove existing storage tanks and replace with approximately twenty-six new underground fuel storage tanks at various locations on Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina. Work includes all excavation, soil removal, compliance with Pope Air Force Base and State of North Carolina environmental notification and reporting requirements related to UST regulation and closure. Work includes collection and disposal of remaining fuels in tanks, proper disposal of tanks. Soil remediation to the 5-foot line around each tank site is part of this project; unit price for additional soil remediation as feasible will be included. New tanks as designated for each site shall be installed and made fully operational to include site improvements. Tank sizes range from 500 gallons to 35,000 gallons. Individual sites vary in complexity from simple electric generator fuel tanks to a complete replacement and reconfiguration of tanks at the Pope Air Force Base government vehicle gas station. Network Analysis System will be required. Estimated cost range of project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Charge for solicitation documents is $35. Make check payable to F&A Officer.
