Destination, delivery to Texarkana, TX 75507, 120 days after date of order. This item is applicable to the UH-60L and AH-64A Aircraft, T-700 Engine. The procurement requires prequalification. Contractors who desire to be prequalification must submit a source approval package in accordance with procedures contained in Section L of the solicitation. The proposed action is acquired, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source require acquisition of the part from the approved source. The approved sourc retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. The current approved source is General Electric Company. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encourage to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer identified above and provide the necessary supporting documentation to the solicitation. The time required for approval of new suppliers, however, may be such that award and delivery may or may not be delayed pending approval of a new source. All responsible sources may submit a quote.
