This admendment revises SFO3-057594 which was posted 09/18/96 as follows: 1) The date for receipt of proposals is hereby extended to Close of Business, October 9, 1996. 2) Under the section entitled BEST VALUE SELECTION, delete Paragraph 2 and susbtitute the following in lieu thereof: The following value characteristic is applicable to this procurement: The degree to which the offered product will accept part and surface data (without manipulation) as configured, is of great value to NASA LeRC. The product able to accept the greatest amount of data will be considered the most valuable to NASA LeRC. Currently, NASA LeRC receives aeronautics data in the following formats: 90% of the data is received in the IGES format, 0% of the data is received in the STEP format, and 10% of the data is received in DXF and other formats. NASA LeRC estimates that 90% of the data that it currently receives from the major engine aeronautics manufacturers was originally generated in the Unigraphics format. Since the chief focus of this acquisition is to meet the aeronautics engineering requirements, NASA LeRC anticipates that, of the data that will be received during the term of this contract, 90% will be generated in the Unigraphics format, 4% of the data will be received in the IGES format, 5% of the data will be received in the STEP format, and 1% if the data will be received in all of the other formats. 3) Some questions have been received and responses are being prepared for publication within the next 2 days. Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of this solicitation remain unchanged. Offerors shall acknowledge receipt of this amendment by (1) identifying the amendment number and date on the offer submitted, (2) letter, or (3) facsimile.
