C -- C-PROJECT #501-97-102 CARDIAC CATHERIZATION LAB DUE 102896 POC Kathryn Ogilvie, Contract Specialist, (505) 256-2719 Professional Architect-Engineer design services to provide all labor, materials and services required to prepare schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction period services, as-built drawings and other services as required to prepare for and complete construction of project #501-91-102 Cardiac Catherization Lab at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Albuquerque, NM . This project will consist of modification of an existing area on the fifth floor of Building 41 to accomodate highly specialized medical equipment. In this design heavy emphasis will be placed on the electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines. The evaluation criteria for selection and contract award, in descending order of relative importance are as follows: (1) Recent specialized experience of firm in type of work required, (2) Professional capacity of the firm to accomplish the contemplated work within the time and cost limitations, (3) Professional qualifications of the staff, sub-contractors and consultants to be assigned to the project, (4) Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and Private Industry in terms of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance and (5) Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project. The estimated construction cost is between $250,000 and $500,000. Area of consideration is restricted to small business firms within a 50 mile radius of Albuquerque, NM. Architectural Engineering firms which meet the requirements described in this announcement are invited to submit a completed Standard Form 254 Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionaire and Standard Form 255 Architect-Engineer Related Services Questionaire for Specific Project, not later than 10/28/96. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The proposed acquisition listed herein is hereby set aside for small business concerns only. SIC Code 8712; average annual recipts for past 3 years cannot exceed $2.5 million dollars. A firm fixed price contract will result from this acquisition.
