Equilibrator is comprised of 10 components with an inner and outer housing, inner housing is 4130 tubing and outer is 1010-1020 MTX tubing per ASTM A513 or A519. Outer housing is 3.5 in., Dia. x 13.25 in., long. Inner components include 2 springs .207 in., wide dia. x 1.5 in., outside dia. x 43.6 in., long with 48 coils. When assembled length of equilibrator is compressed to 21 in. and will have a compress force of 480 lbs. Requirements are 228 ea Equilibrator, Cannon. For use of the M1A1 Tank. FOB is destination. All or part of this action is an unfunded FY96 requirement. The proposed contract will include a 200 percent option for 2 years. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is 102496.
