The purpose of this special notice is to announce additional information about the Nuclear Tomahawk Land Attack Missile Portable Launch System (TLAM-N PLS) procurement (RFP N00024-96-R-6221). On 23 September 1996, NAVSEA posted additional informational documents related to this procurement on the NAVSEA 02 Internet Web Site (http://sea02www.navsea.navy.mil), under the ``Info Docs for 6221'' heading. Documents posted are the DRAFT Sections A through K of the RFP, the DRAFT SF 33 cover page, and the DRAFT DD Form 1707. For companies who do not have Internet capability, please fax a request for a hard copy of these documents to Heather Jackson, SEA 02621H, at 703-602-7023. All industry comments on these sections should be received by SEA 02621H (H. Jackson) by 7 October 1996 in order to be considered for incorporation into the formal RFP. Comments should be submitted on the comment sheet distributed at the 8 May 1996 Briefing for Industry, this sheet is also posted to the SEA 02 Internet Web-Site for this procurement under the file name ``Comment.doc''. The Navy will not provide responses to any comments received on the DRAFT RFP Sections A through K, the DRAFT SF 33 and DD Form 1707. This is not a request for proposals, nor a promise by the Government to pay for information received in response to this synopsis. Issuance of DRAFT portions of the RFP does not obligate the Government to award a contract and does not restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach.
