Wright-Patterson AFB OH has a requirement for a High Temperature Tribometer with temperature range from 25 to 850 degree Celsius and capable of reaching max temp in 15 minutes. Rotation shall be from 20 to 5000 revolutions per minute. Must be driven by 1 HP DC drive motor with flywheel. Test chamber shall have provision to purge with argon or nitrogen gas. Tribometer must meet the necessary loading configurations, stress levels, voltage requirements and force measurements. Must have signal and data readout in ASCII format and be available on a CRT screen as a plot of friction coefficient and temperature as a function of time and/or revolutions. All sources that respond will be sent a copy of the solicitation. This solicitation will be issued approx 25 OCT 96.
