The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division(NAWCAD) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) require support services in the design, development, integration, test and evaluation, installation, certification, maintenance, and logistic support of aircraft and associated weapon systems of the Fleet. This includes support of technology demonstration and development; full-scale development; production support and Fleet support; and Fleet in-service engineering support. The services of engineering and computer programming personnel are required to support NAWCAD and NAVAIR sponsored project teams engaged in the aforementioned activities. Project team efforts include identification of applications programming requirements, and the analysis, design and development of computing systems for such areas as financial, procurement, travel, training, and supply functions; and research and development efforts for intra/inter basewide telecommunications issues using state-of-the-art fiber optic technology; and telephonic communications including the implementation and maintenance of an Integrated Services Digital Network(ISDN) capable digital switching system. Support is also required to develop and implement hardware and software standards and operational processes in each of the defined areas. This will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract with Cost Plus Fixed Fee Delivery Orders. The period of performance will be five years, estimated to start 1 June 1997 through 31 May 2002, with a potential level of effort up to 1,120,000 man hours for the five year period of performance.
