PLASMA ARC TECHNOLOGY, CURRENT PRACTICES FOR WASTE TREATMENT: AN INFORMATION EXCHANGE Contact, Ms. Teresa Reed Kishlock, 814-269-2800. Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) is hosting the ``Plasma Arc Technology (PAT), Current Practices for Waste Treatment: An Information Exchange'' at the Ramada Hotel Old Town in Alexandria, VA, from October 29-30, 1996. The Information Exchange is sponsored by the National Defense Center for Environmental Excellence (NDCEE) and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Participating agencies to this Information Exchange include the DOD, Department of Energy (DOE), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The NDCEE, operated by CTC for the Department of Defense (DOD), leads and supports DOD facilities and the associated industrial base in adopting a comprehensive approach to pollution prevention and addresses other high priority environmental issues. The Information Exchange will provide a forum for discussing the economic, health, and environmental benefits of PAT for treating a wide variety of wastes. Representatives from industry, government, and regulatory agencies will discuss ongoing projects. Equipment suppliers and service providers will describe recent advances in technology and planned installations. Organizations are welcome to participate in the poster sessions to take place during the breaks on both days of the Information Exchange.
