WASSON FISC San Diego intends to place a contract with Abbott Labs of Abbott Park, IL for the procurement of test kits/reagents for use with Government owned Abbott chemical blood analyzers for the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA on a sole source basis. Delivery will be FOB Destination. Period of performance is a base year and 3 option years, to commence on or around 1 April 97. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All offerors who contend that they are capable of providing the necessary test kits/reagents should submit, with 45 days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully meet the requirement. All proposals received within the 45 day time period will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
