The Unmanned Ground Vehicle/Systems Joint Project Office (UGV/SJPO), U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, intends to host the second Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Industry Group Meeting at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama on October 31, 1996. In order to minimize travel and to encourage industry participation, the meeting will be held at the Sparkman Center, Building 5304, beginning at 0800 hours and concluding at 1200 hours. Participant registration is scheduled to begin at 0800 and concludes at 0830. The meeting is scheduled to coincide with the Advanced Planning Briefing to Industry scheduled at Redstone Arsenal on October 28-30 1996. All meeting activities will be unclassified. Unmanned Ground Vehicle Support Group meetings are intended to provide the UGV/SJPO an opportunity to share current programmatic and technology information with industry representatives, and to seek industry support and input in meeting technical and cost challenges related to development and fielding first generation unmanned ground vehicles. The tentative agenda includes an overview of UGV experience in Bosnia; program update related to the Tactical Unmanned Vehicle (TUV) User Appraisal activities; Joint Architecture for Unmanned Ground Systems progress and schedule; technology assessments by the U.S. Army Missile Command Research, Development and Engineering Center (RDEC) and industry representatives; discussion period; and wrap-up.
