N -- 230-KV TRANSFORMER REPLACEMENT, DAVIS DAM POWERPLANT, PARKER-DAVIS PROJECT, ARIZONA SOL 1425-7-SP-30-11960 POC Caryn Rotheim, Procurement Technician, at 702-293-8588 The work required to be performed under this solicitation includes removing five existing 230-kV transformers, disposing of one of the removed transformers and reprocessing the remaining four transformers as spares, and placing them in storage; furnishing and installing five new replacement 230-kV transformers; and furnishing spare parts as required. A bid guarantee is not required, but performance and payment bonds will be required under the contract. The location of this project is the Davis Dam Powerplant, which is located two miles north of Bullhead City, Arizona, on the Colorado River, in Mohave County. The pre-solicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is November 1, 1996. The estimated date for receipt of bids is January 7, 1997. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3612 and the small business size standard is 750 employees.
