The Department of Defense (DoD) will be conducting a Healthcare Thrust Program conference for small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned businesses, Historically Black Colleges, and minority institutions. The early registration fee of $125.00/person will be in effect through 13 November 1996; late registration is $150.00/person. This conference, hosted by the Department of the Army, will be held on 20-21 November 1996, at the Hilton Palacio del Rio in San Antonio Texas. There will be a networking reception on the first day of the conference. Distinguished guests from various medical commands and departments will be speaking at the conference plenary sessions. In addition, panel discussions and workshops will address issues relating to the evolving role of healthcare and defense acquisition, opportunities for small businesses to participate in DoD activities, and other important topics covering the significance of the healthcare industrial base.
