Extension of the DoD Pilot Mentor-Protege Program (MPP). The DoD FY1997 Authorization Act extends the date for new mentor-protege agreements to 30 September 1998 and extends the date for incurring costs which are eligible for reimbursement to 30 September 1999. Accordingly, DoD is strongly encouraging interested mentors to submit requests for participation in the MPP in accordance with the DoD policy for the MPP, Appendix I of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation. A copy of this guidance is available for downloading from the Internet at http://www.madentech.com/mpp or you may obtain a copy by calling the MPP Hotline at 1-800-553-1858. To expedite the review process, companies are not required to submit the letter of intent. Prospective mentors interested in applying for reimbursement should coordinate their requests with the respective DoD Service/Defense Agency Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Office.
