Demolition work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing
entrance ways in five (5) buildings and a sinking slab in one (1)
building. New work includes, but is not limited to: concrete and steel
work for reconstructed entrance ways in accordance with ADA
requirements; replacement of slab in Building 10; and miscellaneous
work to include painting, plumbing, partitions, carpentry, and floor
finishes. The period of performance is 180 days and the estimated cost
of construction is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation
will be available on or about October 30, 1996 and is open to all
bidders. Solicitation packages can be obtained by submitting a written
request (referencing this solicitation number and including contact
name, company name and address, telephone and fax numbers) and
appropriate payment to DHHS, Food and Drug Administration, Construction
and Facilities Contracting Branch, HFA-531, Park Building, Room 332,
5600 Fishers Lane, Rockville, Maryland 20857. (The street address for

available at a non-refundable cost of $13.00 per set and only company
checks or money orders, made payable to the Food and Drug
Administration, will be accepted. A bid bond is required with bid
submissions and performance and payments bonds will be required from
the awardee. The availability of solicitation packages is limited and
will be furnished until the supply is exhausted, on a first received,
