Reagan, Contracting Officer. The USACECOM proposes to procure: 1) 100
maintainer/chargers - automatic, fieldable, vehicle mountable battery
maintainer/chargers for lead acid type military vehicle batteries. The
maintainer/chargers are to be float type chargers with temperature
compensated charging; 2) 50 charger/maintainer - automatic,
multi-battery, bench type chargers/maintainer for lead acid type
military vehicle batteries. The charger/maintainers are to be capable
of delivering temperature compensated charging with continuous charging
currents up to 40A for two or more batteries; 3) 50 charger/maintainer
- Portable, fieldable, automatic, programmable multi-battery vehicle
charger/maintainer for charging and maintaining military C4I sized
batteries. Each charger/maintainer is to include all hardware necessary
to provide connections between the charger and the batteries and for
connecting to AC and DC line power; 4) 50 - charger/maintainer -
Automatic, programmable, multi-battery, bench type charger/maintainer
for charging and maintaining military C4I type batteries. The
charger/maintainer is to be capable of fast charging a minimum of four,
preferably more, batteries simultaneously and must be capable of
charging a wide range of battery chemistries including nickel cadmium,
nickel metal hydride, sealed lead acid and lithium ion rechargeable
batteries. Delivery will be to USACECOM - Myer Center, AMSEL-RD-AS-BE,
Ft. Monmouth, NJ. This effort is a firm fixed price, competitive
proposal with 200% option. This solicitation will be released to
industry only via CECOM Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) on or about 28
Oct 96. The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has
established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic
transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids
(IFBs) from Government to Industry. All interested parties wishing to
do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive
data from the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will
need an identification code and password in addition to a computer
terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface
with the EBB system. A user's identification code and password will be
issued upon request along with instructions for downloading the EBB
User's Manual. All requests must include (1) company name, (2) point(s)
of contact name(s) and title(s), (3) return address(es) and (4)
telephone number(s). Please send your request in writing to ebb system
