Wright-Patterson AFB has a requirement for a digitally linked and controlled Orientation Imaging and Analysis System (OIAS) to be installed on an existing Leica 360FE Scanning Electron Microscopy. The digital driver and computational part of this system must be capable of simultaneously acquiring and analyzing orientation information and chemical information from a Chemical Imaging and Analysis System (CIAS) which may be purchased as an option. Upon coupling the total system shall be capable of controlling the SEM beam movement, operating and acquiring data from the two detectors systems simultaneously, automatically analysis of the date in real time and representing the analysis by a variety of methods including color graded imaging.
