70 -- NOTICE OF INTENT-SOLE SOURCE POC Joanne Tarr Tel: (410) 965-9474 The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate solely with IBM, 6705 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817 for the renewal of an annual technical support for the Social Security Administration's National Wide Area Network (SSANET). Resident in the SSANet are various proprietary IBM software products which contain source code. These software products include, but are not limited to NetView, IBM LAN Manager, and VTAM. The support offered must be able to provide for source code accessibility and product-specific expertise required to maintain SSA's network. SSA plans to procure IBM's Personal Systems Support Family of Services. The service shall be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The desired support shall cover SSA's entire enterprise, provide for unlimited number of questions or problems, provide for liaison with at least 2 SSA Focal Point personnel as well as alternates. The Personal Systems shall be comprised of the following: o ELECTRONIC (IBM LINK) AND VOICE SUPPORT - for Questions and Problems on the following OS/2 Products: OS/2, LAN Bridge Manager/2, Token Ring Bridge Local, Token Ring Bridge Remote, Communications Manager/2, DATAGLANCE suite, DB2/2, LAN Network Manger, LAN Station Manager, NetView DM/2, NTS/2, PSF/2, SYS Performance Monitor/2, VISUALIZER Suite, LMU/2. o PERSONAL SYSTEMS SUPPORT LINE - for all time spent on the research of a problem, both on and off the telephone. o PERSONAL SYSTEMS FORUM - for access to PS, Networking and S/390 Forums. o AIX SUPPORT FAMILY OF SERVICES: o AIX Support Line, Electronic (IBM Link) and voice support for questions and problems on specified AIX software and hardware. Includes AIX Operation System, NetSP Secured Network, Gateway, FAST Service for AIX, and SIX SNA Server 6000. o AIX SUPPORT LINE - for all time spent on the research of a problem, both on and off the telephone. o AIX ALERT - Automatic Notification of Code Related Fixes o AIX Consultant Line No cost or pricing data is required or requested.
