The Internal Revenue Service is intending to negotiate with Unisys to provide maintenance support for the Remittance Processing System (RPS) located at the following IRS locations: Andover, MA; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Brookhaven, NY; Covington, KY; Fresno, CA; Kansas City, MO; Memphis, TN; Ogden, UT; and Philadelphia, PA. These may not be all inclusive. On-call maintenance (respone time within two-hours) coverage will be required year-round during the Principal Period of Maintenance (PPM), Monday through Friday. On-site maintenance shall be available year-round at the option of each site. Extended coverage, from 1 to 4 months during the year, will be at the option of each Service Center and will require extended on-site and/or on-call coverage for a second shift. Preventative hardware maintenance must be performed in accordance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM) specifications. Immediate accessibility of spare parts is required for remedial and preventative hardware maintenance support for approximately 245 Unisys (formerly SDC/Burroughs) Model S1200 remittance processing devices and their perrpherals. The following hardware components are included in the Remittance Processing System: S1215-006 Document Processing System, A5132 Two Pocket Stacker, A5152 Synchronous Data Communication Control (which supports communication with the Hitachi equipment utilizing an modified Honeywell, Houston Automated Spooling Process (HASP), Remote Job Entry (RJE), monosynchronous protocol), AP1340 Auxiliary Printer, CER3111 Tax Document Printer/Stacker, and CER3123 Endorser.
