D -- SOFTWARE LICENSE & MAINTENANCE FOR COMPUWARE PRODUCTS DUE 103196 POC Alan R ''Dick'' Tokosch (410) 965-9492 FAX: (410) 965-9560 The Social Security Administration intends to issue a Sole-Source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition (SA) process to COMPUWARE CORPORATION, 31440 Northwestern Highway, Farmington Hills, MI 48334; for the renewal of software licenses, maintenance and support services for an eleven month period running from November 1, 1996 to September 30, 1997. The covered software products include COMPUWARE PLAYBACK (2 Copies), CICS ABEND-AID/FX (7 copies), XPEDITER/TSO (2 Copies) and PATHVU (1 Copy). These are all running on SSA's mainframe systems (IBM or HDS). It is believed that COMPUWARE is the only viable source for these services. Any potential offeror who believes they can supply the requisitie licenses and services should submit a technical proposal describing their capabilities along with appropriate pricing information including GSA Contract number if applicable within 15 calendar days from the publication of this announcement. Telephone requests will not be honored. Firms responding are required to indicate whether they are a small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) certified business or a large business.
