R -- MAIL SUPPORT SERVICES WITHIN THE SSA ANNEX BUILDING MAIL CENTER (AMC) SOL SSA-RFP-97-2833 DUE 121696 POC Stephen Slaughter Tel: (410) 965-9513 The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for and also intends to issue a solcitation for a competitive 8(a) acquisition for the acquisition of Mail Support Services Within the SSA Annex Building Mail Center (AMC) at headquarters in Woodlawn, MD. The Mail Center is directly accountable for the timeliness of the services provided to all SSA central components, SSA Field Offices and SSA beneficiaries. This Mail Center is located in the SSA Annex Building, 6401 Security Blvd., Woodlawn, MD. SSA anticipates awarding a firm, fixed-price contract with four 1-year option periods, if exercised. This requirement has been set-aside 100 percent for 8(a) minority and disadvantaged business concerns in all stages of development. This requirement has been approved for the 8(a) program by the United States Small Business Administration. It is anticipated that a Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about November 1, 1996, with proposals due 45 days later.
