Kendall (913) 239-0470 (Site Code DAKF19) The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supplies and equipment, and perform all work necessary to clean and pump concrete vault latrines and mud and scum pits at Fort Riley, Kansas as specified. The pumping and cleaning operation shall consist of pumping out all scum, water and sedimentation and removing all debris that can be removed from the top with hand tools, scraping down sides and bottoms of latrines with a flat spade, flushing entire interior with clean water, and pumping out all remaining waste and residue. In addition, both the concrete vault and the topside latrine room shall be cleaned and rinsed. For cleaning, the Contractor shall use an EPA approved fungicide cleaner, which will disinfect and deodorize when mixed to the minimum strength recommended by the manufacturer's written instructions for use as a disinfectant. No dirt, trash, unsanitary residue, or caustic residue shall be left on the floor or fixtures of any latrine room. All sediment and residue removed from vault latrines shall be deposited in a sanitary manhole on Fort Riley. Debris that cannot be handled by the pumping trucks shall be hauled to a dump site approved by K.D.H.E. located off Fort Riley. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price contract for a base year and three option years. Invitation for Bid will be issued on or about January 27, 1997 and open on or about February 27, 1997. The proposed procurement is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns.
