Slana (Site Code W31XNJ) Construct a 7-story air traffic control tower, with the seventh story being a finished control room cab. The tower will be of precast concrete panel construction over a structural steel frame, with a concrete mat foundation. A small concrete road and asphalt pavement parking area is included, as are site related utilities, grading and drainage. Extensive conduit for electrical and communications are required. Critical Path Method (Network Analysis System) is required. Bid documents are available on or about 29 October, 1996. Costs are as follows: $10.00 CD/ROM. ELECTRONIC ADVERTISEMENT. The primary medium to be used for the purposes of advertising plans and specifications for this project will be through the use of CD-ROM. However, the Government reserves the right, when time is of the essence, to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Bidder's questions raised during the advertising period shall be submitted to the Government via paper medium. Bidders not having CD-ROM capability may acquire paper copies of the solicitation through the F. W. Dodge Plans rooms, or may have paper copies reproduced from the CD-ROM disks by other commercial reproduction agencies. All bids forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the actual bid submittal, including amendments to the actual bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the actual bid submittal documents will not be allowed. Cost of work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Requests for Plans and Specifications shall indicate in writing whether firm will bid as a Prime contractor or a Subcontractor. Firm's physical address, telephone and facsimile numbers, and name of point of contact must also be provided to facilitate any overnight mailing required. Unrestricted.
