Drydock and repair - NOAA Ship WHITING, to be performed at the Contractor(s) facility. Performance period to commence approximately January 6, 1997, and shall be completed within 36 calendar days following ship availability. Basic contract items will include Underwater Body Coating; Sea Valves Overhaul; Tailshafts, Bearings and Propellers Replacement; Main Engines Overhaul; Steel Repairs; Inclining Experiment and others. In addition there will be 11 Option items such as Anchor Chain Renewal; Abovewater Body Coating; Galley Range Repairs; Reverse Osmosis Prefilter Piping Upgrade; etc. Vessel will be available for inspection on November 8, 1996 in Wilmington, NC. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
