35 -- FLARE STACKS SOL RFO 13-SSC-0-96-30 DUE 112696. Contact Point, Jerry Misch 601/688-1634, Contracting Officer, Rebecca S. Dubuisson, 601/688-1636. NASA/SSC intends to issue a Request for Offer for the procurement of three (3) each Flare Stacks with Control Equipment. The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and supplies necessary for supplying one (1) each Hydrogen Flare Stack, one (1) each High Pressure Relief/Turbopump Discharge Flare Stack, one (1) each Low-Pressure Relief Flare Stack with Control Equipment for each Flare Stack. The equipment shall be assembled for delivery to the component Test Facility located at John C. Stennis Space Center, Hancock County, Mississippi to the maximum extent possible. F.O.B. Destination. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with NASA/SSC Specification 110GK-GM01. Solicitation packages will be released as soon as practicable whether prior or subsequent to October 29, 1996. This procurement IS NOT set-aside for small business concerns. Only written requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Transmission of requests for the solicitation package via telefax at 601-688-1852 or Internet e-mail to jerry.misch@ssc.nasa.gov are acceptable. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors, potential offerors, and contractors during the preaward and postaward phases of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the contracting officer, or the selection official, but to communicate concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations of interested parties to the appropriate Government personnel and to work to resolve them. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of formal contract disputes. Concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations which cannot be resolved at the installation may be referred to the NASA ombudsman, Mr. Tom Luedtke at 202-358-2090. (284)
