Opportunities. This notice constitutes a broad agency announcement as
contemplated in FAR 6.102(d)(2). The National Aeronautics and Space
Administration (NASA), Office of Space Science (OSS), is releasing an
Announcement of Opportunity (AO) AO 96-OSS-03 ''Hubble Space Telescope
(HST) to Propose Flight Investigations for the 2002 Servicing
Mission.'' Participation in this program is open to all categories of
organizations both domestic and foreign: industry, educational
institutions, nonprofit organization, NASA Centers, and other
Government agencies. NASA is interested in receiving proposals for
scientific investigations that use the Hubble Space Telescope and for
which flight instrumentation must be developed. NASA anticipates
selecting one or two instruments to be placed aboard the Hubble Space
Telescope during a servicing mission visit in 2002. On November 2,
1996, this AO will be available electronically on the OSS homepage. The

research.htm. For those not having access to the Internet, a printed
copy of the AO with Appendices A and B, may be requested from: Jorge

Intent are due December 3, 1996. A Preproposal Conference is scheduled
for December 10, 1996, at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt,
Maryland. The AO will be released November 1, 1996, and proposals are
