Dvoracek II (210) 221-9389 (Site Code DADA10) This is a COMBINATION SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number is DADA10-97-R-0010 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. This is a sole source procurement. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7372 and Small Business size standard is $18M. The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with JEH-EAS, Inc. for support of annual proprietary software during the base period November 15, 1996 through November 14, 1997 for Brooke Army Medical Center, BAMC, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Two (2) option years to follow. The software being used includes 150 users for File Magic Plus software, Series Four; 20 license users of Incat for the CD-ROM Recorders; and 7 license users of any combination of the Optisys for the CD-ROM Jukeboxes and LogiCraft for the CD-ROM Towers. Also included are the peripheral hardware drivers. Software support shall include unlimited customer telephone support, unlimited support at the Government's sites for existing software, and provide upgrades, installation and training for new software releases. Hours of support availability are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays. SPECIFIC AREAS OF SUPPORT SHALL BE PROVIDED AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO THE GOVERNMENT: Unlimited support to include all new versions, installation, and training for the File Magic Plus, Series Four, software; as required, reinstall, or install, hardware drivers for File Magic compatibility and proper operation; unlimited support, installation, and training for new versions of the Optisys, LogiCraft, and Incat software. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, without addenda, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with offer.
