J -- MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR SIEMENS GAMMA CAMERA AND SIEMENS TOMOGRAPHIC X-RAY UNIT AND PERIFERAL EQUIPMENT SOL N0016897RCOX510 DUE 102196. Contracting Officer, Mary A. Lutton, 301-295-6491. The National Naval Medical Center intends to award a sole source contract to Siemens Medical Systems, Laurel, MD for the maintenance and service of the following equipment located in the Radiology Department, Bethesda, MD: (1) 1 ea Siemens Basicam 37 serial #1078; (2) 1 ea Multix UPH, Serial #01095, 1 ea Polydoros SX80 Generator, 1 ea digital Collimator serial #01506, 1 ea 3D-III overhead tube crane Ser #01069; 1 ea Vertis 2 serial #01213, and x-ray tube. This preventive maintenance agreement will be effective from the date of award through 30 Sep 1997 and includes all parts and labor except as noted; service coverage 8 am to 5 pm, Monday - Friday excluding holidays; phone support within 15 minutes, maximum on-site response is one hour; two planned maintenance inspections per year; x-ray tubes. It excludes film, screens, cassettes, magazines and other consumables. Anticipated award date is 20 October 1996. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by this agency. This action is unrestricted. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be made in the form of a purchase order. (281)
