Low Level Radioactive Waste Services. Headquarters, U.S. Army Industrial Operations Command (HQ IOC) intends to contact for services required to package approximaterly 1 KG of carbon-14 tagged explosive material, transport the explosives to an off-site facility for processing, process the material so as to eliminate the explosive hazard, and dispose of the radioactive component at a licensed low-level radioactive waste disposal site. The material is presently located located at picatinny arsenal, New Jersey. A firm-fixed price contract is contemplated. Approximate closing date is 6 Dec 96. Any contract will be made only to a source approved under HQ IOC's qualifieid bidders list for the low-level radioactive waste disposal program in the categories of transporation and brokering, and processing and disposal.
