ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE STATES OF OHIO, KENTUCKY AND INDIANA (ZIP
CODES 410, 430-458, AND 470) SOL RFP #232098-97-A-0008 DUE 112696. POC
Purchasing Specialist, D. W. Tokasz (410) 997-6214. Professional
Environmental Engineering Design and Support Service, which should
include, but not be limited to, Underground Storage Tank (UST) Removal,
Installation and Retrofit, Site Characterizations, Corrective Action
Plans, Groundwater and Soil Abatement Design, Lead Abatement, Air
Quality Testing and Environmental Reviews within the States of Ohio,
Kentucky and Indiana (zip codes 410, 430-458, and 470), are a few of
the required services that will be required and part of the firm's
performance evaluation. The contract for environmental
architect-engineer services will have a base two (2) year term.
Individual work orders will be issued. Each work order will be
negotiated as an individual project. Work orders for any one project
cannot exceed $100,000.00 and the total contract cannot exceed
$500,000.00 for each 12-month contract period. The contract may be
renewed for three, one year periods. The total amount of work ordered
over the five-year period may not exceed $2,500,000.00.
Architect-Engineer firms which meet the requirements described in this
announcement are invited to submit: (1) a Standard Form 254,
Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire, (2) a Standard
Form 255, Architect-Engineer and Related Services Questionnaire for
Specific Project, and (3) any supplemental data (limited to 50 pages).
Companies with multiple branch offices are to identify the primary
branch which will manage the contract as well as the applicable
professions of the staff at each branch office. These submittals must
be received by 5:00 P.M. on November 26, 1996 at Facilities Service
Office, U. S. Postal Service, PO Box 701, Columbia, MD 21045-0701. The
selection will be conducted with the combined use of SF-254 and
SF-255. Consideration will be given to interested firms responding to
this advertisement in accordance with the following order of
preference: 1. Firms and consultants located within zip codes 432, 441,
443, and 452; 2. Within the State of Ohio. The contract contains a
requirement for firms to provide evidence of current insurance of
$200,000 of errors and omissions per claim. Participation of
Minority-Owned Businesses is a consideration in U. S. Postal Service
architect-engineer selections. The Postal Service may award multiple
contracts as a result of this solicitation. It is prohibited to pay any
fee, commission, percentage, or brokerage fee to any person or firm
contingent upon or resulting from award of a contract for this project.
No other general notification for this project will be made. This is
